art
I got into the whole art thing through 3D modelling, and although
I've since branched out a bit, it's still a central part of what I do.
My work has been mostly high-polygon still renders, but over the years
I've dabbled in real-time models and some animation, as well.
Digital speed paintings and more laborous works share this gallery.
These are, more often than not, painted in Photoshop with my trusty Wacom
Intuos graphics tablet.
I usually work at large resolutions (as high as my rig can handle), using
mostly the paintbrush and one or two other tools.
I started doing pencil/charcoal sketches as well as oil paintings a couple
of years ago, prior to which I had been working almost exclusively with
digital media. I'm really enjoying the more low-tech forms of art, because
they enforce certain discipline in order to accomplish the wanted effect.
Besides, they leave you with concrete "originals," are fun to work with, and
are portable.
